“We have ahead of us a very important period of soul searching. And then we have to act accordingly, for our children and for their future.”

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Sir Ken Robinson, who passed away August 21st after a battle with cancer. The beloved husband, father and grandfather believed that teaching was an art form and was a fierce advocate for restoring creativity into the education process. During a career that spanned more than three decades, he authored best-selling books, was knighted by the Queen of England and gave the most-watched TED Talk of all time. His biggest legacy will undoubtedly be the generation of educators and leaders he inspired to nurture creativity in the classroom and beyond. As a 2019 Nelson Mandela Changemaker, he graced the PTTOW! stage with his characteristic wit and charm and urged us all to have a collective sense of the challenges we face as a society. At the time of his passing, he was working with PTTOW! on launching a Future of Education Task Force. He will be sorely missed by both our community and the world.
