Vans Customizes Culture

The Heat is on as Vans kicks of it’s annual Custom Culture art competition, inviting high school students across the country to embrace their inner Picasso and compete for a $50,000 donation to their school’s art program. The competition celebrates creativity and seeks to raise awareness of the continued suffering of art programs in public schools. Vans has snowballed since its first competition in 2010 with only 326 schools participating, to 3,000 expected in 2015. That adds up to over $400,000 in donations!
