Spotify acquired Echo Nest, a music intelligence platform that transfers music understanding into tools for smarter listening on music applications. Echo Nest infromation of various musical data points to provide companies with better knowledge of music selection for the users. With Spotify’s acquisition of Echo Nest, they look to improve music discovery for their 24 million users.
