An Eye on the Future with JPL
After analyzing nearly three decades of satellite observations, our friends at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory have determined that rising sea levels could exceed estimates, predicting an almost 1-foot rise for most coastlines of the contiguous U.S. by 2050. These grim predictions come with the silver lining that they can be used to help coastal communities plan for increases in both catastrophic and nuisance flooding in coming years. Learn more here.
